Santa Claus Village is located 8 km north of Rovaniemi city centre, right on the Arctic Circle. It is a free-entry outdoor complex of shops, restaurants, and attractions built around Santa's official residence. For most families this is the number one reason to visit Lapland, and it lives up to it.
The village is open year-round, though the Christmas season (November to January) is the most atmospheric, with snow, lights, and holiday markets. Summer visits offer a quieter, crowd-free experience with long daylight hours.

The highlight for every child. Santa is available for private meetings every day of the year in his office at Santa Claus Village. You can talk with him, take photos, and receive his personal greeting. No appointment needed, just queue up. The experience is free; professional photos are available for purchase.
