Why Rovaniemi Is the #1 Family Destination in Lapland
Rovaniemi sits right on the Arctic Circle in northern Finland. It is the capital of Finnish Lapland and the place where most family trips begin. The reason is simple: Santa Claus lives here.
But Rovaniemi is far more than Santa. It is a proper city with excellent infrastructure, family-friendly restaurants, museums, and easy access to wilderness adventures. Whether your kids are toddlers or teenagers, Rovaniemi has something that will make their trip memorable.
